Who can possibly sit still for 14 minutes to meditate?!

Happy December! Lovies, 2017 is nearly a distant memory.

Wrapping up this year I sit and pontificate about my never ending road to self improvement. I am discovering how much I truly don’t know.

Starting a business as a Life Coach has proven to be so much more satisfying than I anticipated. There is a lot to learn about having your own business in Sweden but the thing that is most important to me is building up my bank of knowledge to share with you. So many new discoveries.

There are days I just sit and laugh out loud at myself at the stupid mistakes I am making and then there are other days I am doing a high kick because I rocked it out.

Some examples of different things I am discovering (or digging deeper into) and terms I am coming in contact with that have never been a part of my life that I wanted to share with you today:

Social media. How in the world am I supposed to keep up with all of this? Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Snapchat, Reddit, Flickr… there’s too much and my brain is smoking. I am doing the best I can and that is simply going to have to be enough.

Mobile technology. I have an iPhone 6 and essentially use it for a telephone and email. Is there something else I am supposed to use it for? 🙂 Oh yeah, I do use the camera function with my new TRIPOD!!! WOO HOO!!

YouTube and creating my own channel. Jesus, what will they think of next? Virtual money?? (Bitcoin :))

TED Talks. Who is Ted and does he really need to talk that much? Yes, I know what this means now since I researched it because I was hearing it all over the place but had no idea what it meant. “TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.” Source – Google.

Gig economy. I had never even heard this term before. I went to a networking event and a 20 year old upstart was talking about it. You know I had to write that term down and go home and research it. So now I know. Working in a gig economy means essentially that now as a Life Coach, I can start working as a consultant for companies or individuals and invoice them and work a “gig” instead of being an actual member of staff. Its good for the companies and its good for me as a business owner. I like that term. It suits me.

Meditation. My newest favorite is a person named Tim Ferriss (@tferriss). I watched him on Marie TV doing an interview and was mesmerized by his story and his message. He is an author, entrepreneur, public speaker…. you get the picture. The guy is 40 and has accomplished quite a bit in his life. Most importantly he seems like a cool dude.

Tim (my new friend :)) was saying that he starts his day with meditation and he has to be the 30th person I have heard say this so this morning I did it!  Of course I couldn’t just sit there in the quiet with my own mind racing so I used his recommendation of listening to a guided meditation  https://www.tarabrach.com/.

It was very helpful to use this because she kept my mind from wandering. It was a great way to start the day off on the right foot. 14 minutes was all it took and I felt refreshed and ready to go kick some ash. You may even want to consider checking it out if you need to learn how to calm your brain down for a while or just to learn how to take a moment for yourself. You deserve it.

My life isn’t full unless I am helping you by lifting you up, helping you see how fabulous you are or sharing tips and tricks with you. It brings me joy!  If I know something, I want you to know something. Use it if you want to, if you have no need for it, maybe someone else will! Pass it on.

So, what have you done this year to make it a good one? Think about it and share your thoughts with me. Inspire me!! It’s a good exercise for you as well.

Please also consider passing this blog on to your friends and family. I would appreciate it and I appreciate YOU.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

KRAM!
